Anuja’s Maternity Session

This is the first maternity session I have had the pleasure of sharing on my blog! yay! This was a great maternity session (baby to follow!) with a super fun couple, Anuja and David. We met in January on one of those odd days that had snow in the morning, but was melted by lunch. We all agreed to stay indoors and we kept finding more and more fun places to use as backdrops right inside their beautiful new home! Once their new […]

Sondra and Mike Engagement Session

Did you experience Snowmageddon2015? We pretty well escaped any major weather here in Hamilton, maybe 10 cm of snow, but I thought that this engagement session would be perfectly suited for the cold end of January (hoorah!!!!). Sondra and Mike bought their first home about a year ago and is the perfect country setting. They have a couple of horses and an adorable pond, perfect for a winter engagement session. They also have a big fierce guard dog…Bear! We were […]

Intimate Winter Wedding

Today I bring you Jamaica and Cory’s wedding! I was so excited to get together with this gorgeous couple again, especially after having to move the ceremony date around a bit. The wedding was in Perth, but Jamaica organized the whole thing from Louisiana (Go Saints!), with help from Cory in Kingston. The day was full of fun details reflecting their personality; bright blue accents, feathers, fun flowers, and personalized M&Ms to boot! We all know dogs are really a […]

Dreaming of Hawaii

It was around this time last year that I was packing my bags and heading towards the Big Island of Hawaii, so I thought I’d post a little bit of a throwback. These are some of my favourite pictures from my vacation and ones that I hope give you a sense of warmth on these cold January days. It was my first time really using my macro lens (Canon 100mm f2.8) and it was sure a great tool to have […]

Selfie Tips: Part I

Who out there made a new years resolution? Anyone? Anyone kind of mumble to themselves about maybe cutting back on the snackies? Yeah. We all did. It’s ok, that’s what happens after December. Well, I’m going to provide y’all with a couple of tips that will let you ignore all those extra treats and still look amazing in your pics! So without further adieu, my first in a series of selfie tips! (This is actually a tip for anyone taking […]

Happy 2015!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!   I’m so excited for 2015! This marks an end  of a successful year with amazing clients and looks into the upcoming year with lots of exciting changes and weddings already booked! Over the quieter winter months I’ll be writing a couple of how-to and favourite-people articles, so look forward to those! Before we fully head into 2015, let’s look back at some of my favourite images from this past year. (This was way too hard to narrow […]

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! From our doodle-family to yours, we hope that you and yours are having a happy Christmas and holiday season! (Maple is the older more curly one, Juniper is the younger one with straight fur). See the tiny string on the “Happy Holidays” sign? Yeah, my vision was that she’d sit perfectly still while dangling the sign from her mouth. This was as close as we got. The saddest picture ever. I think this would be perfect for a meme, […]

A Holiday Treat

Hello everyone! I have a special Christmas treat that I’ve been holding on to for a while, it’s my niece, Beth! We took these pictures back at Halloween and I’m so excited to finally share some of them. It was super fun to get out some Christmas ornaments and watch my sister panic when she watched Beth chew on them! he he he This year will be Beth’s first Christmas and I’m so excited I get to spend it with […]

A Winter Wedding

This post comes just in time for the holiday season. This Christmas-inspired wedding fell on the feast day of St. Nicholas and was full of unique details that reflected the couple perfectly. There was a perfectly executed nod to the Bride’s Scottish heritage with vibrant tartan details throughout the day (including her shoes!). Hilary is the youth director at her church and had many of the kids join the processional. The groom is a helicopter aficionado, so there where gingerbread cookies […]

Fun Fall Family Session

Before we fully delve into the winter and holiday season (cough snow and mitts), let’s enjoy one last look at the fall. This lovely family met again at Gore Park this year after first meeting last year! It’s so much fun to see the kids grow up over a year and they were just as much fun this year as last! It’s so much fun to play with the leaves, run around a little, and of course, kids have the […]
